Introducing our CEO and Founder - Paul W. Abernathy, CMECP®
Our CEO and Founder is Paul W. Abernathy, CMECP®
 
Mr. Abernathy has served the "Tradies" industry since 1998. He is a Master Electrician in multiple states and has successful students in all 50 states and around the world. He serves on NFPA® code-making panels 5 and 17 and is the CEO and Founder of Electrical Code Academy, Inc.
 
Mr. Abernathy is the holder of (4) USPTO Patents on various cable assemblies and has (3) USPTO trademarks on the CMECP® [Certified Master Electrical Code Professional®} program, and the Fast Trax® System of learning the NEC®. He has also successfully run multiple businesses, including an electrical contracting firm, educational firm, and marketing firm for over 3 decades.
 
In 2014, Mr. Abernathy moved to McKinney, Texas to create and establish a "Codes and Standards" division at Encore Wire Corporation. He currently remains in that role as the spearhead of the technical division of that corporation.
 
In 2022, Mr.Abernathy also serves as the CEO of Electrical Code Academy, Inc.
